My art focuses on color and visual texture. I create my fabrics through dyeing, painting, screenprinting, stamping, and batiking. Once these pieces are incorporated into a composition, I continue with a variety of mark making techniques to create layers on layers and layers within layers. While my work frequently references nature, it is primarily abstract as I explore the relationships between line and shape, foreground and background, and, of course, colors.
